Powder coating - komaxit
The principle of powder coating aluminum profiles is applied powder on the surface of aluminum and subsequent curing in an oven. The powder contains resin, pigment, or hardeners, additives, and creating a dry powder consistency. To apply powder on aluminum profile is used compressed air, which after mixing with the powder creates “a liquid mixture”. That the powder adhering to the aluminum profile (and fallen prior to the hardening in the oven), it is in the application device supplied electrostatic energy (the charging).
Electrostatic energy using physical phenomenon and that the opposite charged particles attract. It causes the attraction of powder particles to sprayed aluminum profile, and his subsequent sticking on the surface of aluminum profile.
For the charge powder are used in two basic ways:
• Electrostatic charge, called STATICS (KORONA - brush discharge)
powder particles are charged using high-voltage electrodes, located at the mouth of the application gun. This method of charging is very fast and effective, but is not suitable for parts with deep recessing.
• Electrostatic charge, called TRIBO
powder particles are charged friction in the application gun and hoses, for example made of Teflon. This method of charging is not as efficient as "KORONA - brush discharge", but is suitable for parts with deep recessing.
Advantages of powder coating:
- Coated layer is resistant to shocks such as gravel, rocks, etc.
- Good resistance to scratching
- Excellent extra durability
- High chemical resistance
- Respect for the environment
Range of application powder coating
Power coating is used for example for the so-called white goods program (washing machines, fridges, cookers, microwave ovens), metal furniture and home accessories, safes, locks, hangers, covers consumer electronics and computer equipment, bicycles, sports equipment and fitness machines, office and study aids , magnetic boards, small objects, which are normally encountered (shoehorn, bottle openers), automotive parts (brake pads, discs, wheels, interior metal parts, many components of motorcycles), radiators, fire extinguishers, letter boxes, lighting body and lamps, bottles for perfumes and some types of alcoholic beverages, ornamental pots, cases of cigarettes and tobacco, electrical boxes, metal ceilings, fittings and much more.
